Its certainly reflected in the latest polls... I think the Dems.. including Hillary have done a lousy job of pushing back on this issue.. If they are waiting for the matter to run dry? Its not gonna happen..
Watched Jake Tapper on Cnn this am.. basically stated that in fact 3 of her emails on her private server were classified, however, its not known if she knowingly lied when she did not mention these FUCKING 3 EMAILS before Congress... 3 out of 30 thousand? Fuck you Jake Tapper..and CNN
If such an important matter... let theses 3 Fucking Emails be released so we can actually.see how important they were to our national security...like I am ordering a stand down order to all members of the military
which in fact would be a Republican wet dream.
At any rate enough is enough. We need to vigorously attack back on this issue starting right the hell now..

(934 posts)The third had (C) in the body of the text. State Department uses that (C) to mean confidential. Comey knew all this and withheld the information from Congress in his testimony.
Be sure to let all your friends know that somebody lied to Congress and will be prosecuted, but it wasn't Hillary.

The (c) was in the body of the 3 emails. The headers had no indication of being classified, which is the normal protocol.
And out of more than 30,000 emails, 3 is 1/100 of 1 effin percent.
How many of us, even Comey, can say our margin of error is 1/100th of 1%?
What a crock of you know what, and Comey knows it.

There IS a media conspiracy to take Hillary down. The only way for voters to counter it is through their viewships and profit margins. Boycott specific authors or entire mediums that twist stories about her. Many at the NY Times, for instance, are heavily complicit. Every cable news network.
This is the Information Age, though. We can say no to this and still be just as or better informed.

(989 posts)They need to learn how to frame and re-frame a question into the points they want to make. Everytime the trust issue comes up they need to be able to point to Comey's roll back of his original allegations, point to the mistaken classification of documents as admitted by the State Department officials, and speak about the confusing markings and the tattered classification system that needs serious overhauling and money from Congress to do it. The business of "should have known" can be addressed with Hillary's own words about relying on career professionals in the State Dept. who know much more about document classification than incoming political appointees who operate at the highest level.

(2,510 posts)Hillary suffered momentary setbacks in the polls whenever the emails were big in the news, but they tended to be of short duration. The announcement that there will be no recommendation for indictments should be the last time, hopefully.
I don't expect this to be much of an issue in another month, unless Trump tries to keep it in circulation... His negatives are so much worse that I think Democratic energies should be spent hitting him where it hurts, rather than trying to defend/explain away the email quagmire, which is complicated.
Trump's negatives lend themselves much better to the short soundbite / bumpersticker mentality of so many voters, than trying to explain away the email issue. Unless it becomes a major thing again somehow, I'd just move on.

(59,504 posts)emails. It IS the end of any possibility that any charges will be filed against her and her aides.
However, three other things - no matter how invalid will generate more stories on the emails:
- There will be allegations that she stonewalled FOIA requests and - after she was gone - made it impossible for 2 years for the SD to comply. This is NOT a crime -- the most that could ever be done is to insist the government comply in getting the emails out. For HRC, this was completely done earlier this year, but the FBI will be giving the SD the emails they found that she did not give them and they have said they will put them out after they process them properly - as they did the others.
- As there will be new emails, they will hunt for anything embarrassing and on these, they have the addition possible claim that she tried to destroy them. As of now, the SD does not know how much the FBI actually has and when they will get it -- thus no time line announced yet. When a schedule is announced -- that will be a story -- as will each drop of emails.
- There are also the emails of her aides that the SD says will take a long time to process. The question is whether the judge will order the emails to be released in tranches as they did with HRC's. Any articles on that -- or on the potential security clearances of these aides (ignoring the President can override) will continue to be stories out there.
NOTE THAT I AM JUST WARNING THAT THERE WILL PROBABLY BE EMAIL STORIES - I agree with HRC that using a private server was a mistake.

Cummings to Chaffetz: Criminal Referral Unwarranted ....
Jul 7, 2016
Press Release
Cummings to Chaffetz:
Criminal Referral Unwarranted After Learning New Facts at Todays Hearing With FBI Director
When you made these statements regarding the classification markings at the beginning of the hearing, we had not yet heard key details about this issue from Director Comey, Cummings wrote. As the hearing pressed on, however, we learned some significant new facts.
On Tuesday, Director Comey stated: Only a very small number of the emails containing classified information bore markings indicating the presence of classified information.
During todays hearing, Director Comey testified that he was referring to only three emails out of more than 30,000; that the classification markings on these three documents were not proper and did not comply with federal guidelines or manuals; that he believed it would be a reasonable inference for Secretary Clinton to have immediately concluded these documents were not classified; and that he was not informed that the State Department reported yesterday that these emails were not in fact classified and included stray classification markings because of human error.
I understand that there was some confusion about this issue going into the hearing, but the facts that were established helped clarify this issue, and for that reason todays hearing served a valuable purpose, Cummings wrote. Based on this testimony, it appears that proceeding with a criminal referral in light of these new facts would be unwarranted.

(8,515 posts)concerning the placement of the 3 emails is certainly even more evident how bad a job the Dems are doing in pushing back on this issue and the fact that I (staunch Hillary supporter) didnt pick this particular piece up which is complicated, is further evidence that I needed to put it out there.
even your 3 political anti Repub. graphics.. Will never change the minds of those who are not following the story closely.. why the heck would someone who does not follow this kind of story closely be able to understand this rather complicated situation.. We must repeat their lies over and over again.. You know the story about repeated lies.. They have strong legs.. As stated in the factcheck piece below the issue is rather complicated..

So the answer is no I will not remove my thread..

(6,436 posts)...of classified info"
..... It turns out, what Comey meant by that was the presence of a letter "c" in the text of the emails indicating some item which whoever put the 'c' in there thought might be Classified info.
But when Rep Cartwright asked him about the manual on sending classified info saying you MUST have a header indicating the document contains classified info to be considered "classified".... and he asked Comey did any of the three emails you have referred to have such a header on them? Comey said: "No"
So, whenever Comey or Republicans say "Hillary sent Classified info" --- they are lying!

(51,129 posts)Thanks to the Comey hearing, that fact was given a national platform live, complete with the LIVE blog here on DU.
Based on Comey's lie, they wanted to have a hearing on Hillary lying. Coordinated Republican political abuse of power caught red-handed. But they keep repeating the lie.

I guess a Republican lying to a Republican Congress makes it true, instead of a felony.

(10,500 posts)People don't understand that it wasn't illegal to use a private server at the time she was Secretary of State.

(8,515 posts)I tried to follow this email story bullshit.. however I can never follow through completely because I cant stand watching most coverage of issues.. I get too freaking mad, upset, pissed off etc..
after watching 4 minutes of Comey soundbites only after his testimony.. I was thoroughly pissed off and simply assumed that the 3 Cs at the beginning of each individual Clinton emails were the end of it...3 out of 30,000! Jesus Christ!, In my mind this would be the end of it... I didnt realize that the real test was where the Cs were placed on the page.. Im now learning how it was all bullshit, not just minor bullshit as I assumed..
O.K. I get too pissed off at these Rep bullshit Committees so I pick up sound bites after its over.In this case
I never heard the bites concerning placement questions of where the Cs were placed on the page..
obviously it is a complicated matter in which Republicans are taking advantage of still..I fully now realize that even the 3 emails was bullshit..
But the point of my thread was to complain how the campaign is not fighting and pushing back on the Republican lies hard or fast enough.. To be called out ( not by you ) for simply stating the facts as I understood them in Jake Tappers fact check, is simply someone trying to prove how smart/tough they are.playing to their own ego.

Its obvious to most around here that I got it right.. So as I stated, go have a great life.!!

Then go seek help from a professional... or better yet from a bottle..
Oh and one more thing.. A lie has to be intentional.. correct?.. So you are actually stating that I intentionally lied in this forum..correct again? So therefore I must be promoting candidacy of Donald... WOW!
