2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI do not know how some of you feel about Mrs. Clinton being the Democratic nominee but
to me, she is excessively better than a Donald Trump Presidency. Not voting for her is a lesser of two evils but this time the lesser of two evils is not Mrs. Clinton.
Do not let the conservatives win again, America is progressive and change is necessary. Even if you have to hold your nose and vote for Mrs. Clinton, that would be a good vote. Just my opinion!

(5,704 posts)I just keep thinking that Trump will change his message and get moderate democrats to vote for him. But for now, I am rooting for Mrs. Clinton, she is 100% better than Trump. It reminds me of the year when Dukakis ran!
Keeping fingers crossed.

(6,280 posts)... If there is anyone who ever had an inkling of a thought that Hillary Clinton was anywhere near the same as trump, then they were being completely irrational. That some have come around and found their ability to think critically again is not really something to be congratulated on because, logically speaking, the need should never have arisen in the first place.

akbacchus_BC
(5,704 posts)and Trump, I would vote for her in a heart beat. She seems to have come around a bit with embracing some of Mr. Sanders ideology. Anyways, I want her to win.

(4,640 posts)One of the many RWNJ talking points spewed during the primary against her by staff of the opposition, was that she was evil incarnate. Now that we're past the primary, hopefully the more reluctant will be willing to look PAST the campaign rhetoric which kept regurgitating the RW smears, and actually LOOK at where it originated.
She's not the "lesser of two evils", and for that matter, she's not evil at all, as one can see if they actually LOOK at what she's fought for as an adult.

If everyone gets together, we can certainly take back the Senate, and make progress on the House.

(25,539 posts)It means the best of two bad choices. Like choosing Newt Gingrich over Sarah Palin for VP. When it's used in the choice between Trump and Clinton, it doesn't make sense. Either people don't know what it means or they do and are saying Republicans and Democrats are the same, which obviously they are not and as this is a board for Democrats, not very nice.
