PoliticusUSA: Trump Is Falling Into Hillary Clinton’s Trap By Picking Loser Mike Pence For VP

Last edited Mon Jul 11, 2016, 09:07 PM - Edit history (3)

It is being reported that there is a 95% chance that Trump will name anti-gay extremist Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate on Tuesday. If Trump picks Pence, Hillary Clinton couldn't have made a better choice herself.

The Washington Times reported:
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, little known nationally but highly admired in conservative circles, has a “95 percent probability” of being Donald Trump’s choice for vice president, The Washington Times has learned.

The sources for that assessment are Republicans close to the campaign and to the governor.

Donald Trump's selection of a running mate is, as it's often said, his first demonstration of a presidential decision. So far, he's following the script! (Ha!)

Looking back, we see the "judgment" of previous Republican candidates such as Governor Romney (Congressman Paul Ryan) and Senator McCain (Governor Sarah Palin).

Slightly off-topic question: How do the new DU rules pertain to linking to a right-wing news outlet like The Washington Times? Personally, I have no problem with going into enemy territory because I believe that it's necessary to know your enemy in order to destroy them. But I seem to recall something about linking to right-leaning sources. Any thoughts or clarifications? Thank you, in advance.

I remembered reading that clause when I re-upped my membership to DU. To be clear about my personal point of view, I don't have any issue being linked to any source of information because I'll judge it's veracity for myself.

Here's the point of my curiosity: The TOS you quoted says, "Do not post content sourced from right-wing publications, authors, or pundits. Exceptions are permitted if you provide a clear reason for doing so that is consistent with the values of this website." I'm not sure I see that the OP provided "a clear reason for doing so." Let me stress again that I don't have any objection here, I'm only trying to understand the nuances of the TOS.

Of course, at the end of the OP, allsagirl did write:
"The sources for that assessment are Republicans close to the campaign and to the governor."
This was followed by the snarky devil's icon so I get it that there's more than a drop of sarcasm in the pool.

I'm just curious.

Probably just depends if you have a loser stalking you and alerting your messages. You probably don't.

The ones that have stayed away until now. I don't believe he will be the choice. We shall see.

Sorry, I seem to be behind on something that everyone else knows about. Did Hillary Clinton do something to lure Trump into picking Loser Mike Pence?

This is head fake. More likely Christie, Thune, Brown or some wildcard no one is thinking of.
