Another "toss up" projection for Mia Love-Doug Owens congressional race

(KUTV) Another group of political analysts have pegged Utah's fourth congressional district race as a "toss up."

The Cook Political Report on Friday released its latest projections for House races across the country. In that report, the organization said the race between Rep. Mia Love (R-Utah) and her Democratic challenger Doug Owens is now considered a "Republican toss up." It had previously been rated as leaning Republican.

"I think it's great," said Owens. "I'm excited by the widespread support my campaign's receiving."

This follows Thursday's news that the University of Virginia Center for Politics also characterized the Love-Owens matchup as a competitive one that could go either way. That group cited Owens' competitive fundraising and the negative effect of presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump in Utah as reasons for a close race.

party line on all issues GOP because I guess she feels she owes it to the Party. She wants to pull up the ladder of those coming behind her after she has used it to provide a better life for herself. I don't blame her because Haiti is the poorest country in our hemisphere. People of Mexican heritage get very few Visas, if any to legally migrate to the US, unless it's for migrant farm workers type work. Mia and her family, including her Mother and a Brother got a free pass, plus the people of Utah are very hospitable, and since she made it, she's one of those who wants to close the doors on everyone else coming behind her. She forgets that there but by the grace of God goes she.

they can't wait to dump her. She has not done one single monetary or other legislative thing for her district. Even the Dino that was the previous Rep. always managed to fine some little monetary gift to his district. Whom ever wins this District will only be able to hold it for two years, the present SLC Mayor wil.l be the next Congress person after 2018.

Is it the one that includes Salt Lake City? UT-02? I remember that being the only competitive district in Utah, but that may have been before the last census.
