Megyn Kelly: GOP Praised FBI Director for Weeks Until He Went Against What They Wanted

Megyn Kelly tonight continued to go after the email excuse-making from the Hillary Clinton camp, but she also had some criticism for Republicans demanding the head of James Comey.

As Kelly pointed out tonight, for weeks the Republicans had been praising the FBI director to the hilt as a “straight shooter,” but as soon as he said Clinton shouldn’t be charged, those same people “are saying he’s gotta step down.”

She found it odd how outraged the GOP is when Comey said over and over and over that Clinton lied.

“Why don’t they just,” Kelly asked, “take what Comey gave them and make the most of it?”

...many Republicans expected him to recommend criminal charge against Hillary or an associate. They expected Romney to win, too. The knew Comey was a Republican and thought he would give them some crime. They have convicted her long ago... many believe things that have been proved false, like the "stand down" order. That was a lie. Instead they parse Hillary's words for any discrepancy and shout, "lie!"

3. The Republicans in the House are all running for reelection.

So, they're doing this to get their five minutes on video to show their right-wing constituents that they're doing their "job."

They're all scared to death that Donald Trump is going to blow it so bad that they might lose their cushy House jobs. They're beside themselves with fear, so they're doing something they think will help save them from being booted from office by the voters.

It won't work, but it's all they know. So, expect the rhetoric to get louder and uglier. With luck, the voters will respond with disgust and vote for them to leave DC permanently.
