I guess somebody said he was waiting for the DOJ to speak on this case, and now they have, so?

So now what does he do? Lol.

(1,473 posts)even though we just went through several agonizing months of Bernie and supporters complaining about rigging, election fraud, rigged coins, the unfair SD system, the closed primaries etc.
According to them its never been about Bernie and Bernie getting elected, it's always been all about this Progressive "revolution" to get the ordinary unenlightened average American Joes to be enlightened , using all the issues and goals and even words that Dems have been fighting tooth and nail for over the past few decades.
seabeyond
(110,159 posts)that is what he campaigned on. I found it fascinating Sanders walking into a 'need' state of New York and trashing Wall street. Many of the voters have profited from wall street as far as employees, business owners, business owners employees.
I felt that a real interesting move to walk into New York City and diss New York City, while expecting their vote.

(1,729 posts)I just see him being [justifiably] booed by Democrats in Congress.
seabeyond
(110,159 posts)for a year. So yea... they booed when he started on about the endorsing shit. We are tired of it. Not a weapon to hold over our head.

Hm
Such a quandary. Another quandary. This is interesting times, for sure.

(3,022 posts)saying "we" are tired of it as though Congress had actually booed and you and they were of a like mind regarding Senator Sanders.

(110,159 posts)vote/voice.
We, .... Won't be excluded.
tonedevil
(3,022 posts)Senator Sanders. I don't know why you need to strongly reiterate that you are part of "We The People" nor do I know who you feel was trying to exclude you. I was referring to the we that was rumored to have booed, but according to Representative Connolly, who was actually there, did not.
seabeyond
(110,159 posts)Sanders and PP, NERAL, Clinton, Obama, DWS, Lewis and many many more, do not get to be included in the we because.... Oligarchy.
And if there was no boo, well, bummer. Once again, the Dems take the higher road in the face of more insults.
tonedevil
(3,022 posts)disrespected, but that has not been my doing. It seems kind of petty to think it a bummer that Senator Sanders wasn't booed by Congressional Democrats. I guess you don't much care for the higher road you mentioned.

(3,022 posts)what exactly Senator Sanders said that you interpret as telling Congressional Democrats they are not good enough, but it brings to mind a quote from the Rock Man in The Point "You see what you want to see and you hear what you want to hear".

(1,729 posts)Did you mean to say in post #2 that he was NOT ready to endorse? You had said "I just read Sanders is ready to endorse" so I asked for a link because the piece i read about his meeting at Congress didn't make that clear.

(110,159 posts)has, can or will. He does not have the right.... Whatever. But, it has all been a very interesting roller coaster ride, more standing back and watching instead of jumping on the ride.
All this is new stuff to see, listen to, see the results.

(1,729 posts)... but they are so small even by comparison to the PUMAs of 2008 that I'm not sure it matters. The independents may be affected but most of the ones I know are going for Hillary, even ones who hate her. They hate her but they hate Trump more. I couldn't care less. A vote's a vote. :-D
I think the endorsement will help, naturally, but I don't think it will help all that much. Obama has great approval ratings and his stumps for her will be worth way more than Sanders. He's a much better orator than Sanders and has more than just one stump speech to repeat over and over.

(110,159 posts)I said a while ago, After California and then DC, I like where Clinton is in this.
seabeyond
(110,159 posts)Not going to get into it a lot, but it sure clarified some stuff. Like Dems being the adult in the room, stuff like that.

made it clear to him this afternoon. It was a given, obvious, we all got it. But, Sanders had to hear it out loud. So whatever. Sanders and his people are the ones that use "we the people" with exclusion. As i pointed out by your post... and my reply.

(3,022 posts)Senator Sanders was booed are anonymous. Representative Connolly on the other hand is quite willing to be identified and he said no booing occurred. https://twitter.com/GerryConnolly/status/750710655494139904

(3,022 posts)what Senator Sanders said, but joining Representative Connolly are Representative Steny Hoyer and House Democratic Caucus Chair Xavier Becerra who also say they did not hear booing. I wasn't there so I don't know what happened.

(1,580 posts)On MSNBC he said something like they wasn't much booing. Or there was only a little booing.
tonedevil
(3,022 posts)#59 so not to repeat myself I'll just say there are three Congress people who say there wasn't any booing.

(110,159 posts)we were given so much to grow and focus and take Trump down. This, I do appreciate from Sanders.
nolawarlock
(1,729 posts)I think Sanders made her a better candidate because she was that much tougher by the time the primary was pretty much decided. And I am glad the party has spoken against Citizens United and the death penalty. If Sanders helped with that, then I am grateful to him for it. There are positions he takes I do agree with, but I think he is far too uncompromising to actually put in that chair.
seabeyond
(110,159 posts)spoke the issue. And Obama has fought where he could with being a part bringing suits that have produced some results. This is what really bothers me about Sanders. I have been aware of this discussion for years, and listening to our Dems. They are very vocal. Sanders doesn't get to own the issue. And though Clinton is for DP, or whatever her position is, the Dems have always been strong on that position. So no.... Sanders does not get to own it.
This is one of my loudest complaint of the Sanders campaign the last year.
nolawarlock
(1,729 posts)He's coopted a lot of our issues.

the four years from now Bernie will be campaigning for Hillary's re-election, as much as it pains me to say that. unless, of course, the unthinkable happens
hows about staying on topic, and discussing the massive fraud being perpetrated on low information news consumers by the usual admixture of right wing maniacs and lazy, greedy MSM tools?
