Puke,God I hate that asshole.
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is "in play" as a possible contender to be named Donald Trump's running mate at next month's GOP convention, sources familiar with the vice presidential search tell NBC News.
An individual knowledgeable of conversations about the decision tells NBC News that Pence was made aware several weeks ago through an intermediary that he was being considered for the VP slot.
Officials close to the governor stress that Pence has had absolutely no direct contact with the Trump campaign since before Indiana's primary in April. Pence, who is running for his own re-election this November, endorsed Ted Cruz over Trump in the primary contest but noted at the time that the real estate mogul has "given voice to the frustration of millions of working Americans with the lack of progress in Washington, D.C."
In a news conference on Thursday, Pence declined to say whether or not he is being vetted.

(11,101 posts)But, after Mike Pence's dumpster fire of a first term as governor, he may have nothing to lose.

(22,871 posts)the GOP's infamous "values voters" too. Pence pondered running for president,it could be that he feels VP would be a bigger feather in his cap than failed governor.

(11,101 posts)for the reasons you state, although I don't think people realize just how dumb he is until they actually meet the guy. There is no doubt that if he thought he could be VP he would jump at the chance. The question is, does he want to be tied to Trump in a losing campaign, especially if he loses in a landslide?

(22,871 posts)social policies are bleeding businesses from his state has his internal polls not looking too rosy? Even a losing Presidential campaign would get him national attention which he would want for a future presidential primary.

(8,379 posts)Gingrich would have to be crazy though. He has some semblance of a reputation within his party and I can't believe he would be stupid enough to attach himself to a losing ticket that way. Christie is not going to lose anything since he has no standing whatsoever.
