Trump Spending What Little Money He Has on Shoring Up Convention Support

Just a few months before the election, Trump is spending what little money his campaign has, not on ads, ground game, or hiring advisors but on busing in as many supporters as possible to prevent a coup at the convention. This means that Trump will probably won't be able to run any tv ads or even begin to build a campaign apparatus until August, about 12 weeks before the election. Keep in mind, most presidential campaigns begin hiring staffers and building a ground game roughly 2 years before an election. Trump is going to try to do it just a few days before early voting starts in some crucial states and a few weeks before the election.

Most well known republicans and even a lot of 2nd and 3rd tier republicans are refusing to attend, let alone speak. They only people confirmed to speak so far are Trump and his dumbass kids. What an absolute shit show this is going to be. I might need to buy a 30 case of beer and all of the popcorn at the grocery store for this one.

I think I'll be watching the GOP convention for the first time since 1984. It may actually be the historic swan song of the 6th Party System. I'm guessing (hoping) a rather dramatic amalgam of confusion, emotion, a few fists, counter-counter-counter protests and as Opus might say, "all full of higgedly-piggedly"
