More Brexit. The United Kingdom is now the laboratory for Trump economics !!!

I don't see how Brexit can be anything but awful for the British people in the foreseeable future. Those who supported it on both sides of the Atlantic will look like fools.

It's as if Britain would have been better off if it had never joined in the first place.

The weakened pound will make everything more expensive as it now is worth less. This will affect the working class the most as they spend most of their income on necessities.

Capital investment will dry up as investors hate uncertainty.

Their stock market is going to be in the doldrums. This hurts rich folk. It also hurts the average Brit whose pension funds are invested in the market.

London real estate will go into a spiral.

Maybe I am missing something. I just don't see an upside.

If I was a liberal, a conservative, a socialist, a capitalist I could find reasons to hate it. I don't get it at all. The only reason I can see someone supporting it is to give a big middle finger to the world and modernity. But is that enough for a sane adult?

P.S. Don't forget "Trump owns Brexit" !!!

If the UK had not joined the EU at all, it would have been forced to make its own way in an era where it was still possible to do so. Unfortunately, then is not now. It is MUCH more difficult to do that now.

But the 1% will do just fine. It is the 99% whom I fear for.
