(15,805 posts)In that striking historical hour when Neil Armstrong first placed his foot on the lunar surface, no one rushed in to diminish the importance of that event by saying, Yeah, but Alan Shepard was the FIRST American in space! In contrast, its astoundingly sad that some Democrats cant allow even a moments celebration of Hillary Clintons very remarkable accomplishment.

(43,184 posts)As admirable as many of those woman were, none of them objectively stood a chance due to the fact they were not associated with a major (read: Democratic or Republican) party. Like it or not, we're effectively a two-party system until further notice.
