the convention, if the Democratic Party doesn't find a way to invite and welcome FDR style Democrats in addition to those who seem so enthralled with the politics of the Third Way.

From now until then they are gonna be asking for our votes.

And we're gonna be asking; Why?

And if the answers are not good enough?

What we often seem to forget is that people decide many things based on feelings. There is clearly a large contingent that follows Bernie Sanders, and that would be best represented within the Democratic Party. Clear also that they have very strong feelings, and you could say they have strong principles that are in the realm of what has traditionally been called Democratic.

This is a time for the two parts of the Democratic Party to truly come together, neither one holding high moral dudgeon over the other, because the split is roughly 50/50.

That is why Bernie is continuing on. He is continuing on to represent that large amount of people who feel strongly as he does. If the PTB in the Democratic Party, most especially Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, can keep giving him and those he represents the respect in the Democratic Party they deserve, then I believe we have a successful year ahead of us and a landslide against Republicans. If they do not do this, they are doubling down on a rift that may not but very well may hurt our chances in November.

California's deadline for counties to certify their votes is in early July, but apart from provisional ballots (which ARE counted) most results will be in tomorrow. We're not the back of beyond anymore - in fact, we invented a lot of these automatic counting things they're using these days .
