2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumClinton EVISCERATES Sanders in his last false hope - California
It's beyond a beating, it's an embarrassment at this point.
Sanders has become a laughing stock - along with the supporters that were painting a picture of a clean sweep for him on June 7th along with predictions of winning PR, CA, NJ and others.
Is is getting CRUSHED in California. Not just beaten, but absolutely demolished.
Will he finally admit it's over? Will his supporters? Can we get back to talking about the nominee - Hillary Clinton?

(14,915 posts)Congratulations and all of that tonight. Your side won, that's pretty clear. For whatever record there is, I've never ever had any problem with you. I can probably count on one hand the number of Hillary supporters on this board I couldn't sit down and have an enjoyable cup of coffee with.
Any frustration I have is with the party and the direction it's taking, but that's a discussion for another night. Sincerely, good luck in the GE. I won't be able to support her (I swear I say that with no 'it's my ball, and I'm taking it home with me!' malice. Everyone needs to vote their conscious.) Some Bernie folk will certainly 'come home' for the GE.
With all that said, and this entire post is becoming a bit of a ramble, but I read a good article why, even with her negatives, Hillary should be able to easily deal with Trump. The campaign side of me will always remain interested in stuff like this (can't put my hands on the article right now, but basically, he is what we thought he was, a amature way in over his head).
Anyway, really long post (by my standards) to say thanks and good luck.

apparently youve missed the oh-so-sweet and gracious nature of the Bernie supporters on GDP

REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
Ugly and divisive broad-brushing and personal attack, and it's certainly odd that someone who only arrived six weeks ago knows what has happened over "the better part of this election season." People who are only here to stir shit are working against the party's best interests.
JURY RESULTS
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Wed Jun 8, 2016, 12:25 AM, and the Jury voted 4-3 to HIDE IT.

Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: The post is divisive and not in the spirit of DU. If you continue to hold a grudge against Sanders supporters, just what do you think that will accomplish? It is the attitude of Clinton supporters who stand on their pedestals to put down Sanders' supporters continually. I think you had better realize that BOTH sides attitudes will have to change then. If you don't then you are in for a strong wake-up call.

4) Sanders polls better vs. Drumpf in the GE, but ____________
Corporate666
(587 posts)That's a lot of buzzwords for a single post, friend!
Did Sanders ever come up with that example of HRC being influenced by corporate donors? Last time he was asked he stammered and stuttered and looked foolish on national TV.
I think you will have a hard time finding many people who would tell you the Clinton years were economically bad times. Other than people who aren't old enough to have lived through them and who prefer echo chambers like Reddit to get their facts from.
It's actually very simple. HRC is an effective politician, Bernie isn't. HRC understands how the political game is played, BS doesn't. HRC isn't going with false promises and platitudes like BS is. She'll get things done.
Snarkoleptic
(6,001 posts)to corporatocracy?
I mean, Corporate666 would seem to imply that you feel the monitzation/corporatization of America is wrong, yet you appear to back the candidate who is MORE corporate than Nixon (and Drumpf).
As for the Clinton years, there was a push for mass incarceration, deregulation, and vilificaiton of welfare recipients, so yes, there are many who would tell you the Clinton years were economically bad times.
Very simple, your handle is anti-corporatist, yet your rhetoric supports the corporate candidate because she understands how to play their game?
What if the corporate game is not the only game to be played?

(90,787 posts)....issues to the fore, even if some of his online acolytes have been a pain and need to grow up.
Losing a hard fought campaign hurts like hell, and a lot of us have had that experience. Just ask anyone who lived through the 1968 presidential campaign, whether they worked for Senator Eugene McCarthy as I did (and so did Hillary Rodham) or for Senator Robert Kennedy.
I was in college in California, and Gene McCarthy lost lost lost. I went back to my apartment and the battery died in my transistor radio, so I didn't know what came after that until the next morning.
Many of my preferred candidates have never made it out of the primaries, and that's just how it is.
No need to rub salt in people's wounds, Corporate666. It doesn't do any of us credit, least of all you.
