(5,737 posts)Oh, and either of those two would be made fools of by Hillary, just like Trump will.

Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton has opened up a double-digit lead over Republican rival Donald Trump, regaining ground after the New York billionaire briefly tied her last month, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Friday.
TheCowsCameHome
(40,168 posts)Low double-digits is lame.

(26,060 posts)So now she's not winning by ENOUGH!!! Now that's lame.

(40,168 posts)It shouldn't even be a contest............but it is.
She's in big trouble if the switcheroo comes along.

The Hillarians don't want to hear this but I could easily see Bernie, Joe (ugh), Elizabeth, or even Obama 3rd term more likely than HRC ever reaching the WH.

(30,481 posts)I'm back to watching their side a bit more. They have to be shitting themselves after Trumps response to Clintons speech.

(5,790 posts)Cruz will scream from the rafters that he's next in line, and Trump supporters will scream that the establishment is silencing the vox populi.
I think they're going to dance with them that brung'em. The GOP establishment desperately wants to distance themselves from Trump's remarks, but those remarks are beloved by his base.

(9,263 posts)Trump conservative base sits it out or votes for Hillary...dats the facts of it

(9,263 posts)They sit it out if GOP steals it at the convention....trump would have fake something like an unknown illiness...

(40,168 posts)they like him. She is absolutely reviled by them, and they will do anything to deny her the crown.

(29,098 posts)They will be having a come to Jesus talk with Mr Trump within a week IMO. He may be a clown but he isn't stupid and won't risk total ridicule. There will be a medical issue that will require him to withdraw. Personally I am of the opinion this was a classic rope a dope from the beginning. They knew a moderate couldn 't get threw the primaries. They knew only a moderate could beat Hillary in November. This was there way of assuring they had a viable candidate. What surprised me was the extent they all played along....Paul Ryan looks just so embarrassed by it all...I'm surprised by that...but it still does not make me think well of him.

(1,999 posts)The Trumpanzees would literally riot at the convention. Probably try to invade the arena as an armed mob. The Republican Party would be torn apart forever.
