Folks, the primary was UNWINNABLE for Bernie since March 15th

So everytime Bernie went out and said "it is a steep climb" that was basically a lie. He could have made a case to keep going to get as many pledged delegates as possible without pretending he had a chance to win.

Now the Clinton campaign has broad support from superdelegates. Everyone knows that. Bernie knew that. Some of these superdelegates decided to make their pledge tonight even though the Clinton campaign was telling them to hold their fire. It was the SD's decision to make though. Clinton couldn't really stop them.

Perhaps they decided to send Bernie a message early. Only they know why they did it.

What is the real effect? Probably not much. I suspect both sides will lose a small percentage of votes tomorrow.

If Sanders had started setting the ground work in 2012. He would have had a good chance. Where he failed it was because he didn't have a good ground team.

Starting as late as he did and not building a national presence pretty much meant he couldn't win.
