The first time I met Hillary in person.

It was a cold night at a Detroit airport terminal where the-Gov. Bill Clinton held one last rally before the Michigan primary. Bill and Hillary made their way down the rope line and shook hands. I shyly said good luck to both and began to stay away when she gently grabbed my arm and thanked me for coming out. That was 24 years ago and I still pinch myself knowing I met two future presidents.

I met Bill in March, 1991 well before anyone knew he was running. He casually walked in the room drawing no attention to himself. I would meet him a few more times before he won the nomination. The second time I met Hillary was many years later when she was in Michigan raising money for Debbie Stabenow.
