Obama would definitely win Florida if the GOP would let the voters vote.

It is a shame but it is true. President Obama would win Florida but the Democratic leaning voters are not allowed to vote. They have the worse voting conditions in the state.

FL is even worse than OH, I think.
Although it's close.

...at the federal level to stop it - like laws that would prosecute governors who don't provide "equal access to the polls."

I have lived for many years in both states, Ohio pales in comparison to Florida, as far as voting rights. Ohio still has a strong union backing, as you saw by the repeal of SB5, Ohio can still turn on the GOP. Florida is barbaric, sad to say, but the Democratic Party in Florida has very little power, even though the yhave more registered voters. The GOP controls every major office in Florida, they have been running through a radical suppression agenda since 2010 that has forced the Dems to the courts with limited results. The Tampa Times has an excellent piece on the issue in todays paper

I was listening to a local radio show this morning and a man from Africa called in. He lives in the US now and is married but said looking at the pictures from Florida reminds him of back in Africa. He is shocked at how a "free" country can have these kind of conditions for voting.
