OK, It Is Official....The New "Lost Cause" Of The GOP

....is that the "Storm" was the sole reason why Mitt Romney lost.

Even though Obama was clearly on the upswing and had 284 EVs in his pocket the morning the "Storm" hit -- it will always be the "Storm" that caused Romney to lose.

These people are just insuffferable.

6. The problem is they are saying Romney wins without Sandy.

Of course, the reality is - the race had stabilized & settled in with the President over 270 long before Sandy.

But even had Sandy never happened at all, Obama was in the drivers seat, well on his way to re-election, according to an educated reading of an aggregate of the polls (PEC or 538 blog, etc.)

The Republicans are going to say that Romney would have won, otherwise - in an attempt (as they do) to illegitimize Obama's 2nd term, at least in the eyes of their more rabid sheep.

Sandy gives cover to the horrid polling by Gallup & Rasmussen, etc., and to the even more horrid punditry by Baghdad Bob, er, I mean Dick Morris, and George Will, etc.

They'll say "we were right, but Sandy happened and changed everything."

Of course, intelligent people know that such a claim just isn't so.

The President was making his move towards a commanding position in this race BEFORE SANDY HIT. Do these people not study the issues they are suppose to be experts on?

Among my friends I am considered a political expert. I don't think I am by a long shot. But after watching the first segment of Morning Joe (where the majority of people will get their info compared to a site like DU) I no longer wonder where they get their viewpoints on.

We have a press now built on misleading the public. Period.

If the storm causes Romney to lose, their deity must want it that way.

Fact is that Sandy gave Romney an opportunity to look good. There were many things he could have done right. Instead he held a canned food drive and called a political rally a relief effort. Sandy simply underscored, yet again, Romney's fundamentally bad character and policies.

Sandy didn't do anything to Romney that he didn't do to himself.

Sandy was an "act of God". God apparently approves of Obama. So what does that say for what the fundies believe? I hope it turns them on their heads.
