In case anyone has forgotten, the polls didn't predict Obama to win NC in 2008

Found this little nugget while doing some research today myself.

But I've been encouraging people for almost two weeks now to look at the numbers--
registered voters--and how many people are coming out to vote.

From Wikipedia:

North Carolina was won by Democratic nominee Barack Obama with a 0.3% margin of victory. Prior to the election, most news organizations considered NC as a toss-up, or swing state. But few truly believed Obama would win North Carolina. Only 2 of the 17 news/ political organizations listed here actually correctly predicted the result, an Obama victory.

So, let's do this! Turn NC Blue again!

GOTV!

and probably not FL, either. Hell, Mittwit can sweep the South and he'll still lose 285-253!

We are full speed ahead damn the torpedos in Fl. There are many buzz kill types afoot. Tell me we won't win Fl one more time and we will just kick a little more ass. Pardon my language.
Can't sleep cause I'm so fired up.
Keep it going strong and thanks to all volunteers everywhere. You deserve this win.

They also had McCain by 1 in MO. They were pretty dead on in 2008.

ARG: Obama +1
Reuters/Zogby: Obama +0.4

In other words, it was a toss-up.
