(1,166 posts)Sanders didn't), you wouldn't be thinking Clinton "complaining" about it was a "petty grievance." Approving of corruption when it benefits your own self interests is the same thing as approving of corruption across the board. Do the majority of Americans like the corrupt system of governance that we live under? Maybe. Have the majority of Americans come to fear democracy? Quite possibly. Democratic political systems have never lasted forever.

(31,528 posts)According to Estevan Montemayor, spokesperson for Los Angeles City Councilmember David Ryu, the Sanders campaign was not able to finalize logistics for the last minute event, including traffic mitigations and a way to get around the city-run Greek Theaters policy that all events must be ticketed. The Sanders event is a free concert and rally, open to the public. Online reservations are encouraged only.
...
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is running against Sanders for the Democratic nomination, will have an event at the Greek Monday, but according to Montemayor, that event is a fundraiser, was long planned and is 100% ticketed.

You understand. The huge crowd would overwhelm the facility.
Clinton's event, days later, was already scheduled, and is to be a ticketed event with a crowd appropriate to the size of the facility.
Get it?
It is not the fault of the Clinton campaign that Sanders' organizers did not familiarize themselves with the rules and required crowd-size restraints of the venue.
God! Everything that goes wrong for Sanders' campaign is not Hillary's fault.

And of course it's being bought hook line and sinker by those that so want they martyrdom to be real.

LiberalFighter
(51,084 posts)Bluenorthwest
(45,319 posts)to skip it. That's why the venue is so insistent upon actual issued ticketing, the neighborhood around it is rich and keeps the traffic nightmare as limited as possible, can't get up the road without a ticket or a resident ID. So events that have general admission or which really want as many as possible are not suited to the Greek. Limiting the size of a political crowd seems silly to me. Hillary's event is a fundraiser, tickets sold. It's great for that, once you get past the parking morass or if you have a driver.

(45,319 posts)It is the Greek, and to get me to the Greek takes a full Stevie set or something that major. This same fundraiser at another venue would have already sold more tickets. The Greek is a pain in the ass. It has cache but potential attendees know the drill and unless it is a very strong draw many people just don't go there.

According to Estevan Montemayor, spokesperson for Los Angeles City Councilmember David Ryu, the Sanders campaign was not able to finalize logistics for the last minute event, including traffic mitigations and a way to get around the city-run Greek Theaters policy that all events must be ticketed. We did offer a few solutions, Montemayor said, but ultimately they decided to move the event to the Coliseum.
Large public events, such as the Sanders event or a street festival, for example, are organized and paid for by the event planner.............
Donald Ian Rankin
(13,598 posts)The events are not identical. Clinton's event is is a ticketed fundraiser; Sanders' is open to the public, and hence needs more organisation which he has failed to put in place.
This is just another example of the Sanders' campaign lying and trying to damage the party he claims to want to represent.
