that said the media shouldn't include superdelegates in the counts.
We know the DNC said the same thing.
Rachel keeps pushing for Hillary.

(1,078 posts)She's so biased against Bernie it's sickening. Yeah, we get it Rachel. You really like Hillary. No problem with that. But in the mean time try to be a little fucking objective!

(1,999 posts)She just refuses to deny reality. As she said the superdelegate are delegates and pretending they don't exist would not be honest of her.
Peachhead22
(1,078 posts)And when they're cast, each one will count the same as delegates that were determined by state primaries and caucuses. But the operative term is "when they're cast". And that doesn't happen till late July.
I've seen some polls from California that say among registered voters, Sanders leads. Now if we're going to use the logic that the Super-delegates have decided the primary already (or are shortly going to), then what the hell is Hillary doing in California!? The polls say she's going to lose that state! No need to wait till it's official. It offensive that she hasn't conceded California already! By continuing to compete she's hurting the party in that state! What, does she think something will happen to Bernie, or something will happen to give the voters a reason to not vote for him? That sexist, or anti-Semitic or some other kind of offensive thinking! Does she think that once she loses California she'll be able to suggest any policies that impact Californians!? Give me a break! She lost, and losers don't get to have a say!
Of course, that preceding paragraph is totally facetious and contains levels of snark far above recommended daily requirements. But it illustrates how Maddow and some of the more vocal of Hillary supporters sound to Sanders' supporters.

(1,999 posts)Never before has it been pretended that it's still anybody's race after the final primaries' votes are tallied. But that's what Sanders supporters are demanding for this year. You guys act like the very concept of a presumptive nominee is offensive. And we all know that very few Sanders supporters would be using the same arguments if he was ahead in pledged delegates and the supers were swinging to him.
Also you need to understand that superdelegates publicly announcing their support is not the same thing as a poll. It's not based on a random selection with a margin of error.

(3,335 posts)Bernie supporters have NEVER seemed to given serious consideration, for a MOMENT, that it might be THEM who is not objective.
I get it. This is your candidate. He's saying all the things that you want to hear in your candidate. But the way that his followers have attacked anyone who does not see him in the same light as you see him is ridiculous. That everyone in the media who might say something critical of Bernie is not f'ing objective, and deserves to be attacked continuously or fired as Bernie's supporters have tried to do, is just ridiculous.

(1,000 posts)She is such a top notch reporter that should go without saying. but hey - things change - she's changed - the whole Democratic party has changed. God bless Comcast and corporate america for that.

I'm sure she's fully aware that she's compromised her principles for the sake of a Comcast paycheck.

Unfortunately for Sanders, Superdelegates - being politicians & human beings - often do have opinions. And being Democrats, they are often honest & open about those opinions.
And even without the SDs included, Sanders is losing badly.

(6,007 posts)I think I emailed her a couple of times, waiting for her apology for to Bernie and his supporters for her reporting that "chairs" were thrown in NV. I wondered why she had reported it BEFORE checking it out herself. And after it was proven to be a BIG FAT LIE, when was her apology coming?
I think it's good to try to embarrass her about Bull Sh*t she says. Just lets her know that smart people are watching and know she is MISTAKEN.
