Today Only: 25 Hours to Contribute
Today, and today only, you have 25 hours to contribute to our campaign.
Why? Because today all the clocks have been set back by one hour, silly.
Now, if you happen to live in Arizona or Hawaii, or Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, Saipan or American Samoa, you are S.O.L. No daylight savings time in those places, so you have only 24 hours to contribute to this campaign today. Tough luck, buddy.
But everyone else in the United States has one extra hour to help us win.
What will you do with your extra hour today? Will you boil 20 three-minute eggs, one after the other? Will you make 60 pots of Uncle Ben's minute rice? Will you run 15 four-minute miles? Will you listen to 120 30-second political ads?
Will you check the TV listings to see what aired between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. this morning, twice?
Will you kill the entire day resetting all the clocks and watches in your house, in your car, and on your wrist?
We hope not. Because you really need to use the extra hour today to do something really, really important - contribute to our campaign. It takes just five minutes. Which leaves you with another fifty-five minutes to do whatever you want. In fact, after you contribute, you can take the rest of the day off.
Think about it. It's only two days before the election. Some powerful unknown force has added an hour to your life, just today. Doesn't it almost seem as if . . . someone . . . were trying to tell you . . . something? And we know exactly what that "something" is: you should help elect Alan Grayson to Congress.
If you don't, then somebody else will. At least we hope so. But maybe not. Either way, we warned you.
Don't miss this golden opportunity. There has never been a better time. For every season, there's a reason. Strike while the iron is hot. Make hay while the sun shines.
