People still hold the Tawana Brawley incident against him. That was 25 years ago, fer Chriss sake!
Al has certainly matured since then. He's a great advocate for liberal causes and human rights. I cut him slack for his early years where his enthusiasm perhaps got the best of him.
Al is very perceptive. Also, since he's a New Yorker (yay) he gets straight to the point, without any weaseling.
