(25,973 posts)in 2008, (R)ASSmussen consistently showed McAnus ahead of Barack Obama...until the eve of the election, when they made a major course correction and called it for President Obama - just in time to garner the 'most reliable' title.

When assessing polling accuracy, there are various ways of measuring. In 2012, when you have polls that consistently are outliers, like Rasmussen--which were some of the worst polls in the 2010 cycle, it certainly defies credibility that anyone would still consider them as one of the more accurate pollsters.
