(154,021 posts)you do not kid around with the Secret Service.

(14,157 posts)It could very well be, but the Secret Service stopped it before it got to that point. I would use the word "possible".

(8,812 posts)... but how do you manage to look at yourself in the mirror?
itsrobert
(14,157 posts)Because I dare to ask what makes it an "attack"? I should be shamed for asking a question I guess. Never question the phrasing?
I'll ask again.
What makes it an "attack"?
RufusTFirefly
(8,812 posts)I mean, who's to say?
Then again, it might've been Bosnian snipers.,
Thanks for your heartfelt concern.

(14,157 posts)So you feel the need to taunt.
I agree, it could be a "possible" or "potential" attack.
Now, what makes rushing a stage an "attack"?
Do you really believe the animal rights activists were intent on doing physical harm to Bernie?

(14,157 posts)thanks for not resorting to insults.

(458 posts)Anyone rushing a stage like this has to be viewed as potential attackers, because no one knows what their intentions are or could be.
itsrobert
(14,157 posts)attack. That is not in dispute.

(458 posts)That black guy was awesome, he covered Bernie quickly with his big bulky body.

Eric J in MN
(35,619 posts)...is that Bernie Sanders has a 100% NAACP record, but BLM taking the stage in Seattle last year got him to talk more about police accountability.
The difference is that Sanders has the Secret Service now and didn't last year at that time, and so the animal rights protesters couldn't take the stage today in Oakland.

(35,619 posts)They wouldn't eat a fish or physically attack a presidential candidate.
But it was stupid of them to jump the barricades because the Secret Service couldn't know that.

(22,877 posts)There are so many loose cannons out there.. they cannot take a chance with these candidates.. who knows what is in a persons heart as they break through barricades and run towards a person they are supposed to protect..

(25,406 posts)If not, the Secret Service really let him down there. One punch to the head of a guy that age could have awful consequences. And they were easily close enough to punch him.
