I live in red Georgia, so I do not have much hope for any change here. I am, however, keenly interested in:
Warren vs Scott Brown
Powell vs Cantor
McCaskill vs Akin
Sherrod Brown vs Mandell
Lots of others, but these come to mind immediately.

(40,168 posts)I'd love to see Bachmann lose, also.

(4,924 posts)NY Congressional District #1- Tim Bishop, the incumbent Democrat v Randy the outsourcer Altschuler, the Senate races in Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Ohio, Missouri and North Dakota.
Cantor, Grayson, West.
I'm sure there is more.

(229 posts)i too am too watching very closely the same sex marriage, legalizing pot and charter schools. all three are very important. but i am watching the congressional races as we really need a democratic congress in order to MOVE FORWARD.
RBInMaine
(13,570 posts)Elizabeth Warren taking out the naked man Scott Brown.
Also, hopefully Tammy Baldwin beating Tommy Thompson.
Also Maine Dems taking back the Maine House of Reps and possibly the Maine Senate too.

(9,464 posts)And McCaskill vs Akin. Must keep that maniac out of the Senate.
BlueState
(642 posts)To legalize gay marriage.
This by the way is a great idea for a thread. I was asked by some progressive non-American/new-American coworkers what they should be paying attention to and was going to make a list. This will help.

(2,969 posts)I think both of them would help to clear out the bullshit some Dems on the Hill buy into. They both are not afraid to speak the truth. Hell, those two together would be a great pair to run in 2016 regardless of which one is on the top of the ticket.
DFW
(54,436 posts)Your three (MA, MO, OH) plus North Dakota, Montana, CT, NV, Indiana, NM, Arizona and Wisconsin
Plus a few House races: I want to see Allen West and Bachmann OUT and Tammy Duckworth and Alan Grayson IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Laurian
(2,593 posts)I will do a frantic happy dance when I see Dipshit West and Deadbeat Walsh go down. Having Grayson back will be awesome!
CBHagman
(16,987 posts)Yes, they both deserve the theatrical hook to pull them offstage.
Also, now that I think of it, I wonder what's going on with Mick Mulvaney in South Carolina. He ousted John Spratt last time out...

(4,551 posts)Warren vs Brown will probably be DEM
As will McCaskill vs Akin and Brown vs Mandel.
Those 3 are pretty solid-looking and the Republicans in each race would have to outpoll most of their polling numbers to win.
The one I am a little more uncertain about and interested to see how it turns out is Baldwin vs. Thompson. Thompson has come back strong in recent weeks and Baldwin's lead is narrower now, although Nate still projects she will win. If she can prevail, it is likely the Dems will hold onto the Senate since the other seats above already look good.

(99,711 posts)I have known Bill Nelson since he was a Space Coast congressman and I was a UCF Social Science major.
TroyD
(4,551 posts)He has nearly a 100% chance of winning, so we probably shouldn't worry about that one too much.

(16,987 posts)...in Massachusetts and Ohio, respectively. The latter is particularly of interest because of all the outside money that's been dumped into the campaign and of course Ohio, unlike Massachusetts, isn't safely blue.

(40,416 posts)Looks like Tammy Duckworth and Alan Grayson are going to win.
But I am going to have paper and pencil ready to keep score on our house and senate races, focussing especially on the house.
