Romney campaign lies to its supporters to get them to help

<snip>
In a message obtained by POLITICO, regional political director Michael Joffrion asked Romney volunteers in Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia and Virginia to pitch in for next week’s elections – and close out the 2012 primary season.

“I know everyone is exhausted and still scattered brained from Tuesday. With that said, I need a HUGE favor. We are within one point here in Alabama. A win in Alabama will end this process,” Joffrion wrote.

The Romney campaign says it hasn’t taken a poll in Alabama so it’s not clear what survey the email might be referring to. And Romney officials have consistently emphasized a delegate-based strategy for the primaries, rather than seeking a knockout punch in any one state.

“After all of the hard work that went into winning the majority of states on Super Tuesday, this was simply a motivational email to help energize some of our volunteers,” Romney spokeswoman Amanda Henneberg said.

but only because Santorum and Gingrich are almost perfectly splitting the vote, Romney is not very likely to break 30% in AL, only reason he might win is Gingrich's ego not letting him exit the race.

I hear there is going to be a movie comparing the 2012 Republican nomination to Nazi Germany. Gingrich is going to play Adolph Hitler and Romney is going to play Joseph Goebbels
