Clinton Lead Over Trump Would Grow Without Sanders in The Race (Hillary 51% vs Trump 43%)

Of course it would increase for Hillary. Right now the Democratic voters are split.

Clinton Lead Over Trump Would Grow Without Sanders in The Race

The latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll shows Hillary Clinton with a narrow three-point lead over Donald Trump, 46 percent to 43 percent. But if Bernie Sanders were out of the race the NBC News political unit estimates her lead would likely be much larger, perhaps up around eight points, 51 percent to 43 percent.

The difference in those two scenarios is one kind of voter that pops in many polls: The Sanders-only supporter.

Ought to open up the Democratic Party and stop pretending the 40 percent who have supported Sanders have leprosy.

Hillary supporters. Like one poster brought up, take Hillary out of the race and Bernie's numbers against Trump would go up too. If they are so sure Hillary has won this, why in hell are they trying to divide the party even more than what it already is?

if Hillary and Donald were not in the race.

Between the two they are decidedly unpopular and distrusted.

They're allowed to run and assert their candidacies. But neither can make voters like them, and indeed, the voters are the ones voting.

considering just how unhinged and crazed Donald Trump is and how many demographic groups he has outright offended, there's no way things should even be THAT close. From ANY of our candidates.

The Dem vote is split. You said it.

So how much more of an easy victory would it be for Bernie if Hillary were not in?

Right now, Trump is consolidating Republican unity behind their nominee.

Bernie is "feeding him lines," Trump says.

NOW is the time for Democratic unity!
