The presence of Caiazzo and Dew in the Sanders organization raises deeper questions about the Clinton campaign. Both are also employed by the Truman National Security Project, a quasi-liberal think tank populated by a gaggle of neo-conservatives who believe foreign policy should be grounded in a strong military.
...
The organizations mission is to unite next-generation veteran, political, and policy leaders to develop and advance strong, smart, and principled solutions to the global challenges Americans now face. Their members include military, policy and political leaders at the national, state, and local level, many of whom have served their country in conflict zones around the world.
In a 2012 article on antiwar.com, Kelley B. Vlahos called this group little more than a re-election campaign that promises to keep the war machine humming no matter who is elected to office. On closer inspection, Trumans Board and Advisory Board are a whos who of representatives from the billionaire class Sanders is consistently referencing: defense contractors, private security, venture capitalists, tech investors, multinational realtors, Big Pharma, and the lobbyists who connect them:
The article goes on to show the deep ties between the Clinton campaign and military contractors. Kudos to Barbara With for her research on this.

(113,063 posts)in NC to improve turnout for Sanders in a very solid Clinton state which she DID. Niko House also smeared the director who won Michigan for Sanders when everyone was expecting it to be a solid Hillary state.
Niko House has a distorted view of reality and many here in NC viewed him as a con artist who is now using these tales to secure financing for his 'research' into these matters
.research that was so important he dropped out of college to do, while also scoring himself a new car.
I'm shaking my head for my fellow Sanders supporters who fell for his tales.

(84,711 posts)Remember our conversations about this back when Nico was doing the videos? I didn't find him credible, and still don't, but Dew's affiliation with the Truman National Security Project does make her suspect given what my area of NC experienced
There were reports from angry, frustrated volunteers from UNC Chapel Hill who showed up at our local NC Progressive Meeting about them not having access to Bernie signs for Early Voting Sites and being given wrong instructions about Precinct Locations the volunteers were signed up for Poll Monitoring in Wake County. I personally know that I wasn't able get signs from the Bernie Campaign Durham office because there was no phone number or way to contact them and a "Meetup" they had listed on website had no one there when a friend of mine went to the coffee house where it was listed as being held.
So while Nico may be in it for himself....I do have questions about Dew since there were so many problems with student volunteers trying to get campaign supplies, and given either wrong instructions or not able to readily access information. And so angry they came to the Progressive Meeting to voice their concerns.

From the article:
Joe Caiazzo lists the Truman National Security Project as an employer on his LinkedIn page. According to House, Aisha Dew is also listed as a membership partner on the Projects website, although access to her page is password protected.
The Truman National Security Project was founded by Rachel Kleinfeld, who served as CEO and President from its inception through 2013. Concurrently, she was personally appointed by Secretary of State Clinton in 2011 to the Foreign Affairs Policy Board, the advisory body to the U.S. Department of State, on which she served until 2014.
According to Sourcewatch:
The Truman National Security Project describes itself as being dedicated to forging a Democratic foreign policy founded on strength and security, grounded in a strong military and active diplomacy, and committed to furthering the American ideals of freedom, dignity, and opportunity worldwide.
At its 2005 conference one of the panel discussions was on what Democrats did wrong, Republicans did right, and neo-cons did better and the need to increase the size of the deployable military.

(113,063 posts)She was not hired by HRC campaign and by late last year she signed on with Sanders campaign. Fer chrissakes, KoKo, I've been accused of being an HRC plant here at DU even though I supported Sanders. Because I won't follow the same script as the majority of Sanders group here, I am suspect to them. The foolishness and paranoia directed at longtime Dems has been/is absurd.
You can post all the BS in that article you want, KoKo, but it doesn't make it true. Niko House is a liar seeking aggrandizement at the expense of the Sanders campaign and he failed and is now blaming others. Those willing to buy his bullshit are now funding his quest to make a name for himself any which way he can.
Peace to you old buddy.

(13,390 posts)Gen X is destroying this country and loving economic inequality. They mostly picked up their values during the Reagan years when the culture was immersed wealth worship. So many Gen Xers who have done well still hold those values so dear.
It is noteable that the country shifted so far right as the children of prosperity religion and the search for obscene wealth came of age. The majority of people in their 40s in my state legislature are cut from the same cloth as Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Paul Ryan, etc.
Meanwhile there are millenial candidates in my who have devoted themselves to working for non profits and are now running in Red state MO as unapologetic liberals. I hope they will save us from my greed is good generation.

(58,724 posts)In 1978, I picked up a deck of tarot cards and learned how to interpret their messages. Ive used that deck to give literally 1,000s of readings through the years. In 1987, I began automatic writing, which eventually led to speaking like Junice taught me. The only difference is, I dont go into a trance and I remember everything being said.
My life has been an amazing journey of twists and turns, which eventually revealed that my higher power also included the presence of angels, as well as this Party of Twelve, led by the brilliant Albert Einstein.

Shouldn't she be winning by putting forth a better platform? By outlining what she plans to do with the job when the American electorate gives it to her?

Excellent work by the researchers! I highly recommend all Sanders supporters read the whole article. (HRC camp too, but I doubt that they will.)
