Bernie Sanders calls out ‘dumb process’ Democrats use to pick presidential nominee

New York Daily News:

Democrats are using a “dumb process” to pick their presidential nominee, Bernie Sanders said Sunday.

“I wouldn’t use the word rigged, because we knew what the rules were. But what is really dumb is that you have closed primaries like in New York State where 3 million people who are [not] Democrats or Republicans could not participate, where you have a situation where over 400 superdelegates came on board Clinton’s campaign before anyone else was in the race, eight months before the first vote was cast,” the Vermont Senator said Sunday Morning on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “That’s not rigged. I think it’s just a dumb process which has certainly disadvantaged our campaign.”

Sanders said he’s still aiming to end up with more pledged delegates than front-runner Hillary Clinton — a narrow possibility that depends on him winning California on June 7. Then, his path to the nomination would depend on convincing superdelegates from states whose primaries he won to support his candidacy.

Hmm, Sanders doesn't think the process is rigged; could a bunch of anonymous bloggers be so much smarter than he is?

The primaries should be close in every state or territory. It would not be some states going one way and then the others going a different way.
