That's a reality you're going to have to deal with.

(19,326 posts)because at this point, it's all you've got.
Things change fast, and Hillary's lies have caught up to her. She's beyond redemption
at this point ... unless of course you want to fast-track Trump into the WH.
The IG report cannot be undone or retracted. It is what it is, and it clearly shows that
Clinton's been lying her ass off over and over for a fucking year.
Gee, I wonder where all those "untrustworthy" points come from.

(8,836 posts)Hillary Clinton in general election and loses to Trump.
Bernie Sanders in general election beats Trump.
Note: I do not want but think Hillary Clinton will be Democratic nominee and probably beat Trump. Think Sanders would certainly beat Trump in general election. Think if for some reason that Clinton is not available for general election another establishment and DNC approved Democrat (say Biden or Kerry) would replace Clinton rather than Sanders and easily beat Trump.
Reality is that Hillary Clinton is actively disliked by more Americans across all parties (including good long term Democrats) than liked by Democratic party members and her campaign has gone wobbly and is in uncharted terrain.
One cannot imagine that away anymore than one can imagine away primary votes.
Regardless does not promise that united a USA or effective a POTUS or anywhere near the good will and success earned by POTUS Obama.

(14,689 posts)I think he'd be a much stronger GE candidate, but lost the primary. Primary voters are only a small slither of the vote. Maybe 25 million people voted in the Democratic primary. The winner will need around 55 million votes to win the general.
I'd also make the case that Clinton would have beaten McCain in 2008. Just because she got crushed by Obama doesn't mean she wasn't electable.

(6,977 posts)Which slant right ALWAYS bring the averages down of consolidated polling.
That's what I've always found.
Secondly, too early for REAL polling because the Dem primary is STILL ongoing.
Lastly, IF/WHEN Hillary Clinton does secure the Dem nomination for POTUS, is there still going to be the "But Bernie allegedly still beats Trump by double digits meme?"

(12,655 posts)i actually think the dnc would rather lose to trump than win with bernie for two reasons
1 they are under the misguided idea that trump will not turn over the gravy train as much as bernie will
2 if for no other reason than spite. bernie denied her coronation and they hate him for it

(25,479 posts)Unpledged delegates can be counted once they commit to a candidate. They don't have to wait until the convention.
And they won't. See Obama, 2008.
Hillary will have enough delegates for the race to be called when the polls close on June 7th. You are certainly welcome to continue to believe otherwise, but you'll be in for some disappointment.
