Tuesday Night, I Hope to Drink a Toast to John Lauber

He was the boy who young Mitt Romney bullied so heartlessly. If things go as they seem to be going, I want to remember Lauber, whose story gave me, perhaps for the first time, a reason for the gut feeling of unease that Romney has always given me. Lauber was the first of Romney's victims whose story I read. Since then, we have heard of so many who lost their livelihoods because of Romney's lack of compassion for human beings. This is not about gaffes and clumsiness. It is not even about being a lying shack of sh*t with no moral compass. It is about being a bully, a nasty, callous, entitled bully with contempt for those he perceives as below him.

John Lauber? RIP, my friend. Mitt Romney's presidential dreams? You too.

family whose father was a governor.

My second toast will go to the unnamed hero of this campaign.

The guy who taped Romney telling his wealthy contributors that he was going to shaft the 47%.

When they right the story about this election they will come to the conclusion that once the tape was released Romney had no real chance of winning.
