Karl Rove is not a genius, folks

All he did was recognize the sheer number of "low information" voters in the electorate, identify a short list of issues (actually knee-jerk terms) that really move them--namely high taxes, big guvmint, abortion, gay rights, flag waving, etc.--and take advantage of the faux news vehicle to spread the poison.

The fact that 9/11 happened and, as a result of the hyper increased jingoism from that the faux news model during that time that saw high ratings, the disease spread elsewhere throughout the MSM--most notably to Chicken Noodle News--was simply icing on his cake.

The result is that we now have multiple "news" networks whose infotainment/faux news model is to keep the uninformed placated and stupid. Such is America in 2012.

He simply was in the right place for the last 12 years, as a GOP campaigner really interested in protecting the 1%, to identify the ideas and vehicles that would perpetuate the GOP brand by keeping enough of the 99% ignorant.

Bush realized that Republicans need to (a) pretend to care about poor people and (b) not declare war on Latinos.

If Romney were on pace to get Bush's level of support amongst Latinos, he'd have this race wrapped up.

but for Romney it's not an option because he had to pander so hard for the anti-immigrant, Tea Party right wing that even his Etch-a-Sketch ability couldn't pull that off.

that he had to overcompensate to win conservatives over.

The funny thing about Republicans is that they really are better off when a cultural conservative wins their primary--that kind of candidate gets their permission to tack center on a few issues during the primary. Similar to why John Edwards went sharply left in 2008--he had to compensate for being an IWR-sponsoring, "right to work" endorsing, Blue Dog DINO earlier.

When they nominate 'RINOs' like McCain and Romney, who haven't walked the right wing walk, those guys have had to pander up one side of Wingnut mountain and down the other.

And Rove* is far too embelished. The only thing that separates Rove* from the rest is his willingness to break all laws and boundries of fairness and decorum. Scumbag with a big budget. And quite frankly, I think the world is about to get a real, good, clear shot of Rove's supposed "genius." And it is NOT going to be pretty.

I lived in Texas. I knew people who knew the Bush* family well. I followed Gee-Dubya's* "career" long before he emerged on the national scene, and even before he was Governor. And believe me, "all hat and no cattle," sums W* up quite nicely. Ego the size of Texas, with little to back it up. He was never supposed to be the Bush family conribution to the Presidential sweepstakes. Had it not been for Condi, Karen and Pickles, the world would have seen more of a disaster. W* was EXTREMELY WELL MANAGED.

Remember the drunken buffoon at the Chinese Olympics; you know, the one that basically had to be carried out of the grandstand. That was the real W*.

and I think Rove is a weasel.

But his description of his first reaction to meeting W, makes me think of something entirely different.
In November 1973, Bush asked Rove to take a set of car keys to his son George W. Bush, who was visiting home during a break from Harvard Business School. It was the first time the two met. "Huge amounts of charisma, swagger, cowboy boots, flight jacket, wonderful smile, just charisma - you know, wow", Rove recalled years later.
Now, y'all can think it too.

Ya welcome. LOL

To call that bastard a genius demeans the word genius. He is a domestic enemy of the state and should be arrested, tried and hanged for his crimes. Son of a Bitch.

and nothing to show for it, come Tuesday. I think what Rove needed was a community organizer, Ha Ha. I think when this story is finally told, we'll find out that Rove and Company probably ripped off all those anonymous Pac donors and it couldn't have happened to a better group. When unscrupulous people set out to rig a system with no transparency at the heart of that system, who is surprised when the money is wasted or even stolen by those who created the system.

Also, Politico reported on Morning Joe this morning that Romney is paying more than twice as much for his bullsh!t ads as President Obama because he didn't buy up ad time months ago. Also, Romney has to pay more for ads because he picks and chooses where his ads run and pays a premium for doing so. Well it turns out that it's not paying off for him and it hasn't from the beginning.

So it seems that the man who claims that "he knows how to create jobs" even though he was never a job creator, and who doesn't know how to run a campaign, is wasteful when it comes to spending money, so tell me again why he thinks we should trust him with the keys to the White House.
