Reid: Senate Dems will not work with Romney

Reid Says Senate Democrats Will Not Work with Romney
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said he will not cooperate with Mitt Romney if he wins the presidency, National Journal reports.

It's "his latest and perhaps final shot at a candidate who aides say Reid personally disdains."

Said Reid: "Romney's fantasy that Senate Democrats will work with him to pass his 'severely conservative' agenda is laughable. In fact, Mitt Romney's Tea Party agenda has already been rejected in the Senate."

If obstructionism is what is rewarded then, unfortunately, it's what we have to do. I don't think it's going to come to that, though.

Democrats try to behave decently and compromise and they get used, run over, then painted as weak by the TaliPublicans.

I also don't think Senator Reid will have to worry about Mitt rMoney after Tuesday either.

And while we're at it, congratulate McConnell for his fine political tactic

Romney said he was going to sit down with Democrats in Congress on his first day in office, President Obama said, "Well, first of all, I think Governor Romney's going to have a busy first day, because he's also going to repeal Obamacare, which will not be very popular among Democrats as you're sitting down with them."

It was never really a point Romney responded to.

and the President made a very salient point.

The Affordable Health Care Act is the keynote piece of legislation for the democrats in congress over the last decade.

There was A LOT of blood spilled to get it, and a lot of good democrats got run out of congress for their part in getting in done.

Among the unrealistic and childish claims this jackass has thrown out over the last year plus, he has repeated said he would have the AHC repealed on DAY ONE.

So, he is going to magically, cause, you know, he is going to be elected king, just up and repeal the cornerstone piece of legislation that democrats fought like hell for on day one, then sit down and start productive bipartisan discussions that day, too?

What the fuck fairy land does he, and the mindless twit media live in to think this all could happen.

That was the point the President made, and a good one, but the media was so busy circle jerking itself to crown Romney the WINNER it was completely lost.

...It may come back to haunt us the way "I hope he fails," and "our goal is to make Obama a one-term president." I wish Harry had said we're willing to work with him if he's willing to compromise and put aside the extremist agenda. That might go down better with the rest of the public.

Of course what I REEEEALLY wish he had said was "HEY MITT!!! WHERE ARE YOUR TAX RETURNS???"

They do NOT deserve to have bipartisanship after the way they treated Obama. Remember McConnell? Their biggest priority was to stop Obama from being re-elected.

and had a majority to work with is that he would pass all the things that Obama has been trying to get through and then take credit for doing what Obama couldn't. So many things were republican ideas anyway, including the health care bill.
