Those kinds of attacks only work when the electorate doesn't know the candidate. Both Hillary and Trump have nearly equal name recognition. Filp it around and imagine if Hillary started telling everybody that Trump has bankrupted most of his businesses, cheated on his taxes and cheated on his wife. The nation would yawn. We all know he's a scumbag, and there's a lot of people who seem to like it. Same thing will happen to Trump if he does a opposition research dump. Big yawn.
