The Big Dog holding a rally in Raleigh NC Sunday at Pullen Park, gates open at 4pm. Updated post.

Last edited Sat Nov 3, 2012, 12:14 PM - Edit history (1)

that means President Obama's campaign wanted to give one last push here in the central part of the state, and it means that they haven't entirely written off NC as Romney's.

I wonder if he's also swinging through Charlotte too--I'll have to check on that (updated: Michelle Obama to be in Charlotte on Monday).

Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill (central NC) and Charlotte (more southwest part of the state) are the most populated and the bluest regions.

Big rivalry, lots of traffic. They may be putting that into the equation as they try to figure out where and when to hold this rally.

because I might've attended, but Durham's a given for Obama. In 2008, it was a deeply blue county (like it usually is).

In particular early African American vote is off the charts- an extra election day push could very well put us over again. Dems are really fired up this year more than I ever remember

Even hard-core white male Republicans in NC don't like Romney, even the ones who dislike Obama so much they will still vote for Romney. But a lot of others seem to be at or near the tipping point. Romney looked so inept and useless when in his "response" to Sandy, it really hit home here. In NC, we know about hurricanes. Nobody thinks Mitt has a clue what it is like afterward, what those it hardest are facing, ...

Clinton needs to frame McCrory as being another "Romney". Should be easy: no tax returns, smirking smile, no details, "cut taxes, fix government...", ...

We all need Obama to win NC and to have long coat tails and help Dems win. In 2008, that is how McCrory lost to Bev.

face in the years to come. He is so much a puppet of the Duke Energy company and the low information voters don't even realize this!

I'm glad Walter Dalton will be at the rally.

Hope Big Bill will still have a voice.
