If I wasn't a God fearing man I would say what I really think about that pusillanimous, platitudinous, and prevaricating plutocrat.

(340 posts)Fridady, people are electioned-out, stormed out, they are not going to watch the news for a few days.
I dont think the jobs report will have any affect on the election.
If it had gone to 8 then it woulda been cause for concern, and if it woulda dropped to 7.5 or something crazy then it woulda sealed the election for O but as it stands...very little affect i think.

(10,115 posts)Now as I remember stagnation in the 70's, it was to describe a stagnant economy with crazy inflation. This term does not describe the state of the economy at all. And he claims to be the god of economies?

(449 posts)but the only comparison to Bush's economic mess is the great depression and that took over a decade to recover from that. Call out Romney for being clueless as to how badly his party messed up our country. If he doesn't even know how bad it was, then he isn't capable of fixing it.

(53 posts)Of course Coreless Mitt hates it. It's something positive that will actually help us poor, pathetic peons, and it will not help his & Annie's chances of becoming King & Queen of America.

(4,340 posts)then it'd definitely a win for President Obama. Even Yahoo says the unemployment number went up because more people stopped giving up and are now looking for work again. That's hope!

(527 posts)He doesn't care about the good news of an additional 250k people (including revisions) finding jobs.
Also, I am sick of the Republicans using January 2009 as their measurement. The 800k job losses per month were carryover from Bush destroying the economy. A more accurate starting point should be the 10% rate in around October 2009. People forget how dire things were in 2008. It was so dire that the USA elected a black man as President.

(5,810 posts)A good report (and this one was characterized as GREAT and Very Good by Becky Quick and Moody's Analytics) has to be reframed by Mitt as bad. Remember that he lives in Bizarr-oh World and Up is Down, Left is Right, Black is White. And the sad thing is that the people who will vote for this man believe it. Or at least so far they have been listening to him. I read elsewhere on DU that his crowd sizes are dropping. Could it be that his lies and deceptions are finally starting to come through to his followers? I have a feeling that the voices of those PRAISING the Jobs Report will drown out his message of Gloom and Doom. Just stay away from Fox and Rush.
