I am starting to hate Bernie Sanders..

I go on fb and I am getting messages from a beloved cousin.. who is over the moon about Bernie.. and I never say anything.. I do not want to talk politics with my family.. just don't ..but she is so bent on my accepting Bernie.. I cannot wait for this season to get over with.. Luckily last election I was not on fb or I think I would have lost my mind.. what do I do? I do not want to hurt her feelings.. she is the sweetest person on earth..

PM me her link so we can get together to work on must-pass progressive issues. Perhaps if she finds other like-minded people like me who support and appreciate her views, she will stop looking to you and wasting your time.

Say, "I'm very glad the Democratic party has two such beloved candidates." And leave it at that. If she pushes further, just say "I'm sure we'll both be voting for the Democratic nominee in November, no matter who that is. We don't want Trump, right?" Hopefully that will help her realise you're not going to agree with her re your candidate, but you're both still on the same side.

But at some time in the near future we all should post pro Hillary stuff on FB to defeat Trump.

It's hard when family members' political views don't mesh. Nearly all of my family are Democrats and we share the same passions and concerns, so it's been great to canvass, phonebank and work together with them to support Bernie Sanders.

I have a sister and a friend who used to cc me on every anti-Obama, RWNJ and religious article ever published. I just ignored her, always changed the subject when we talked, and she got the message. Not saying that's how it is for everybody, but I know the feeling. It was worth the trouble for the relationship.

Very angry, HA Goodman fan, and down with Trump. I've posted some of his rants here.

Hiding from your timeline does not unfriendly them and you can still go to their page. I believe you can also choose all but that one person to see your posts. Again, that doesn't unfriend them. Maybe that will help so the two of you can focus on family, fun, and similar interests.

Good luck.

Your cousin is acting like a tool to you based on her support for Bernie Sanders...and that makes you hate Bernie?

Or should I assume you weren't speaking literally, and you're just annoyed with your cousin and wish the whole horrible election was over?

but others do not, she's inflaming people for no good reason and it's not professionally wise for her to do so in public social media but she's on that train and I just sort of watch it. She's obviously for Hillary but first and foremost she's anti Bernie and anti Bernie supporter.

I think it's foolish. If, however, she was simply crazy for Hillary and trying to get me to be excited about her I'd be thrilled. I might not be persuaded but I'd be happy she's engaged in Democratic politics.
