Related: About this forumMitt Rmoney is the reason so many of us don't trust corporations
He's slimy. He's a liar. He'll say anything to make a deal. He cheats. He rips people off. He's greedy.
If he can make a buck, he'll send jobs to China. He won't even keep his money in the United States. He raised five boys who all live selfish lives like him. He did nothing to end racism in the Mormon Church and did not stand against the Vietnam War, but secured 5 deferments to get out of serving. He doesn't care about our nation. He doesn't have any principles except getting ahead.
I think one of the sad things about this election is the fact that so many Republicans saw their candidate lose because Mitt lied to them, but they don't care. It doesn't bother them to be exploited and taken for a ride. That's another thing that Mitt Rmoney does--he shits on his own Party.
He represents the worst of the business world, the reason so many of us want regulation, transparency, and the government playing a role in our lives.
He's an awful man.

(74 posts)Romney is a sociopath. They are very good at disguising their true intentions using deceitful, manipulative behavior. Sociopath actually enjoy harming other people and feel compulsively driven to repeat themselves over and over. They can't stop. They must be stopped.
Corporations are machines made of paper which are inherently neutral entities. Unfortunately for the rest of us, it is now abundantly clear that the sociopaths of the world have an uncanny ability to gravitate toward the political, financial and corporate institutions in their societies, using the deceptive techniques they have mastered over a lifetime, to unleash the full fury of their malicious intentions on the rest of us. Sociopaths are full of cold rage. They are extremely dangerous. Most of the time they succeed because people fear them.
We are not hearing even a fraction of the truth about Romney and his cronies because they are ruled by a mixture of fear and greed. They know better but their own weakness (greed, fear, lust for power, delusional POV) stops them.
This can only get worse. History is replete with examples that illustrate sociopathic individuals take over institutions like corporations, political parties, and entire nations then lead them into disaster. They sounded just good enough to the "undecideds" of their time who votes them into office or fail to recognize their evil intentions in time to stop them.
In the past week, there have been a number of significant endorsements of President Obama by conservative Republicans who appear to have realized how serious the situation has become. Electing Romney will emergize and empower the very worst the country has to offer. Early in the 20th century, Upton Sinclair wrote a prescient novel that presented a very similar scenario that used the Huey Long regime as its meme. It was entitled "It Can't Happen Here." It can and it will if we don't re-elect Barack Obama. We are in very deep, very dark, very dangerous water.

(441 posts)Excellent post. "Corporations are machines..." Yes, you've hit the nail on the head. Corporations have one purpose: to create profits for their share-holders. They have no responsibility to people affected by their actions. Greed, lust for power...that is what drives people like Robme and Lyan, and their ilk.
I should not replicate your post, because you've said it all.
We are in very deep, very dark, very dangerous water indeed.
We need to ensure that Obama gets a second term.
