Ann and Willard just looked at Nate Silvers 538 forecast today and their dreams of establishing a new family dynasty were dashed. Nate said that Romney had a 21% chance of winning! Now that's a disaster.
Patrician Ann and Imperial Willard sought the Presidency to establish themselves and their family as the new Kennedy's, the new Bush's, garnering all the perquisites and bonuses that Air Force One, daily national media and Fox News adoration could give them and their five sons and families.
Access to world leaders. Access to the levers of war, which every Republican seeks. Access to lobbyists and power brokers.
And most importantly, bringing their Mormonism and the Latter Day Saints Church into the American mainstream.
With five days left in this too long election, their enthusiasm has been punctured, their self-righteous belief in their own weak character has been exposed, all adding to their embarrassment.
To be repudiated when you've tried so hard to be everything to everyone, to the point where you've told one lie after the other and have to cancel interviews on the View, the Letterman Show, Bill O'Reilly's Fox News show, and refuse to take questions from reporters over the past four weeks because you don't remember what side of the issue you're really on, leads to mental confusion and loss of a sense of reality.
The good part of this is that we won't have to suffer through the Romney's going to their LDS church each Sunday, listening to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and seeing Romney squirm dealing with the demands of the people who contributed millions to his campaign and who own him, like Grover Nyquist and the pledge Romney signed to his PAC.
I never lost confidence in Obama winning a second term. But I could never have imagined how vacuous and lacking character Romney would turn out. And what a pathological liar he demonstrates every day.
The Romney's know they are defeated. And to boot they are being trampled in the dirt by the people of MA who have rejected him by 30 POINTS! But they have to keep smiling, and be cordial in defeat. That must be hard for this elitist family.
Ann Coulter was right.
Good Riddance!
