"Open up the party." Bernie, seriously?

This from a guy who, going way back into the past, TRASHED the party? From the guy who was never a member of the party? From the guy who in fact HAS been WELCOMED into the party by both the national committee and state committees all over the country? My goodness, for SHAME.

Want to be welcomed into the party? Go to your town hall and REGISTER, and then you can be a member of the party. There, the doors ARE open. Want to have more influence in the party? Then ORGANIZE PROPERLY to have more influence, starting with recruiting candidates to run for office AT ALL LEVELS of government. In other words, create a REAL political movement and not just a bunch of hot-headed yelling and screaming at rallies and state conventions.

Sanders' rhetoric about the party "not being open" to his supporters has got to be the most hyperbolic load of steaming bullshit said in this campaign. And it is only fanning the flames of the kind of DELUSIONAL conspiracy theories that led to the DISGUSTING behaviors we saw in Nevada.

Bernie should simply be strongly condemning the outrageous actions that SOME of this people did in Nevada, talking about his values and issues, and training his fire on the right wing lunatic Trump. His continued CRAP-MOUTHING of the DNC only inflames the wild-eyed radicals who are doing ILLEGAL and DISGUSTING crud like threatening people such as the chair of a state party, using the c-word, booing strong progressives like Barbara Boxer, harassing super delegates, disrupting conventions, posting vile and disgusting slime online, and all the rest. It is feeding the DELUSIONAL narrative that everything in the world is "rigged" and "corrupt" which is just ridiculous and unfounded paranoia.

In Nevada, Hillary won the caucuses and had more delegates come to the state convention. END OF STORY! Nothing was "rigged"!

Bernie is losing credibility and respect. He is BETTER than this, and he needs to SHOW it.

Try a little inclusion and graciousness for a change. Or don't.

The Democratic Party, acting to exclude and piss others off, is playing a very short game. Perhaps just as short and ill-advised as all the triangulating and compromising they have been doing for so long.

I imagine you will keep doing it, because you just can't control yourself. Let's just say, though, your personal traits leave a lot to be desired themselves, to be honest. Look in a mirror sometime.

"Open the doors."???? Seriously? How are the doors being closed to you? How are they being closed to Bernie? He HAS been welcomed into the party by the DNC and all the state committees when he has NEVER even been a Democrat before.

Saying this CRUD only fans the flames of delusional conspiracy theories that everything in the world is "rigged" and "corrupt" which in turns fans the flames of the radicals who are engaged the most vile behavior imaginable in a campaign.

And, I have always said I thought Bernie was a good person with his heart in the right place on issues. But, his wild-eyed rhetoric of late and continued trashing of the very party that DID welcome him in is DISGUSTING. For shame.

If you don't want to take my advice, take the consequences of that. Thu May 19, 2016, 01:21 PM

It continues to be rigged with arrangements that DWS makes for the national convention.

There was not a clear and fair effort here to find the best candidate. There continues to be bias.

Out of the people Bernie submitted for important convention assignments, only 3 got in, and in minor positions. That for the candidate who has won roughly half the votes/half the states.

The DNC and the Democratic PTB are clearly acting more despotically than democratically, and you defend them. Because you're "winning"?

I thought the real desire here was to win in November. To take back House and Senate seats. To prosper the Democratic Party. To help our country be a better place to live.

This "we are the winners" attitude is not the way to unite the Party or create Progressive change. In fact, it threatens to turn off and turn away roughly half the people who voted in the primaries, if not more.

I know, you don't seem to care about those people. Not caring is not a virtue either.

Building up a dialogue with minorities mainly the Latino community that they lost big time in 2008. Seems that they are doing same thing the DNC is doing. Trying to drive people out of their party. It probably is a plan the two parties have to better direct the show they have been putting on for last 20+ years. Both sides only govern to their base on social issues. Then economic issues they both bow to the 1% and are slowly bleeding the middle class dry. And then they pit two party bases against each other calling them evil etc, and then have lunch and go to weddings of these suppose evil people.

DC politics is just like this
" Hulk Hogan on Roddy Piper's Death: "He Was My Best Friend."
Yet back in day they where enemys in WWF

It's funny because Bernies actions in bashing the party, not knowing when to call it quits, and hurting our chances in the GE at the top and bottom of the ticket are likely to make the party less open, not more. Once bitten twice shy. In retrospect, no way should they have been as welcoming to Bernie and they will not be in the future to that type of candidate. And for good reason.
