We now know Obama's complete schedule thru the end of the campaign...

CNN) - While President Barack Obama returns to the campaign trail on Thursday, he'll continue to push full speed ahead until Election Day.

His campaign announced Wednesday he'll pass through seven battleground states in the weekend blitz before voters head to the polls on November 6.

The president kicks off his multi-state swing Saturday, traveling to Mentor, Ohio; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Dubuque, Iowa; and Bristow, Virginia. The following day, he'll visit Concord, New Hampshire; Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Aurora, Colorado and Cincinnati, Ohio.

Before he sets off on the weekend tour, Obama will give remarks at three events in Ohio on Friday and travel to Wisconsin, Nevada and Colorado on Thursday.

The President and Springsteen will then travel to Columbus, where they will be joined by JAY Z, who will follow Springsteen on stage and introduce the President after his performance. The President will end his final day of campaigning in Des Moines, where he will be joined by First Lady Michelle Obama following a third performance by Bruce Springsteen before returning home to Chicago.

Conclusions: Either Obama feels confident about North Carolina (given their early voting numbers) or they feel it's a lost cause because he hasn't gone to North Carolina in quite some time and it's not on the final schedule either. By the same token there is only one stop each in FL (Ft. Lauderdale) & Virginia (Bristow), now I don't think they they are writing off those states. But I think the strategy in the end is to make sure they get 270 and as you can see the most stops are in Ohio, Wisconsin and Iowa--Those three states plus an almost certain victory in Nevada will be more than enough (along with the Kerry states) to win re-election--anything else: FL, VA, NH, CO & NC is additional cherries to the cake.

Source: CNN

(CNN) – Mitt Romney and his running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan, will kick off a four-day tour starting Friday, where they'll be joined by their wives and 100 surrogates in the final days of the White House race, his campaign announced Wednesday.

The tour starts off with a rally in West Chester, Ohio. Featured guests that day include former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Sen. John McCain of Arizona.

In the four days before Election Day, the surrogates will fan out across eleven battleground states: Colorado, Ohio, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

I heard (some leeway please) that he would at least be in NH... so you could maybe place bets on Clinton being around on Sunday's stops.

NC is a notable omission. I wonder if early voting numbers aren't panning out as hoped?

But it went well in 2008 too. Republicans are supposed to turn out on election day. Polls show it's very close.
