Sen. Bernie Sanders has accepted a Fox News invitation for a Democratic debate in California, the Sanders campaign announced on Wednesday.
Both campaigns have been invited by Fox News to a debate. We have told the network that we would accept the invitation with the understanding that we can reach mutual agreement on the debate moderators, the format and other details, Jeff Weaver, Sanders campaign manager said in a statement.

(11,495 posts)For her to debate Bernie anymore. This is just plain BS from Bernie. I used to really like him, but he has really changed. I think he should debate Cruz.

(8,791 posts)would love to keep the Democratic primary going as long as possible. This is the driving force behind this debate offer. And Bernie, of course, cares more about himself and his delusion that he can still win the primary than the Dem party's General Election chances.

(34,825 posts)I'm not a whiner, like most Sanders supporters. To be fair I remember Clinton supporters in 2008 were whining constantly about the primaries/electoral process. That's what the losing team always does.

Ugh, Bernie is either dumb or desperate for accepting this, those red-meat conservatives will grill him on his praise for Fidel Castro (something I have no problem with, personally) and it'll go downhill from there.

Not needed for gaining delegates.
Ther is absolutely no point in wasting time or energy on a foregone win, especially when the GE needs her full attention.
There is no time to be scared, and your pathetic attempt at goading is something a bigger person doesn't fall for.

(1,220 posts)Actually, I really want to see that.
Either they will bend over backward to be nice to him - revealing the true feelings of the right.
OR
They will go after him the way we know Trump would if Bernie had not already lost the nomination.
It's really a win-win for the Hillary folks.
