A problem with convention delegates...

I saw this comment in the Jezebel story that was pretty interesting. Thoughts?

It does not even remotely surprise me that delegates didn’t show up. My husband and I caucused for Sanders in our state; the first time we’d ever gone to a caucus. Sanders won our state, and delegates were selected at the caucus. Neither of us volunteered to be delegates. We didn’t put our names in to be delegates, and we expressed ZERO interest in serving that way. (Props to anyone who wants to do it - it’s just not for us.)

A couple of weeks later, my husband got an email congratulating him on being a delegate. What. He emailed back saying he wasn’t and we figured “oh well, clerical error”. Then a few days later I got an email saying I was a delegate. I emailed them saying I was not a delegate, I didn’t want to be a delegate, and I had never volunteered. They responded “go to our website”.

When we heard that NV delegates hadn’t shown up, my husband and I looked at each other and said “Well, we sure know why that happened.”
