Brand new poll. Obama +5 in Virginia
Poll was apparently conducted from Oct. 31 to Nov. 1st (Today) and released tonight.
GOTV will be the key. Among registered voters Obama leads 54-37.
Plenty of polling info for other states included in link.
Ohio
Obama-48%
Romney-45%
Florida
Obama-48%
Romney-46%
Colorado
Obama-46%
Romney-47%
There is just no way Romney can win. There are to many options for Obama to get to 270.

His entire front is collapsing.

(3,072 posts)That he forgot to watch his back in Virginia.
Two things I have learned about Mitt Romney this year
1. He performs very poorly under pressure
2. He is really bad at multitasking.
He seems to have an OCD like focus on one thing at a time and can't see the big picture.

(2,711 posts)The pollsters needed to ask about Gary Johnson and Virgil Goode to get a true take.

(4,667 posts)Its hard going back and forth between 2 sites while typing numbers sometimes.
Just to clarify.
Virginia O+5
Ohio O+3
Florida O+2
And there are only 4 days to go.
Romney must win all 3 states or the election is over.

(223 posts)daily tracking says 47 OH, you will have a hard time making me believe he is 17 pts up with reg voters in VA. And plus 5 in VA vs 2 in OH makes zero sense. Probably a bunk poll.

(4,551 posts)So the actual margin may be a little narrower, but it is certainly a good sign that Obama seems to be rebounding back to his previous levels of support in Virginia prior to the first debate. There had been a decline in October, but prior to that Virginia had been one of Obama's best swing states this year.
There have now been several polls within the past week showing Obama ahead or tied in Virginia.
Good sign. Obama actually won Virginia in 2008 by more than he won Ohio, so perhaps that will be the case again in 2012.

(20,692 posts)And at that point, you already know the election is over. Obama can win if he gets Virginia, even without BOTH Florida and Ohio. He doesn't even need Colorado, if he gets virginia.
Awesome!!!!
