2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forum"Why Can't Obama Close the Deal?"
One topic Clinton chose not to address was a question about her husbands comments yesterday accusing Barack Obama of playing the race card. Clinton ignored the question and said, The focus on voters in Pennsylvania is on the solutions that were talking about to deal with the problems. When the reporter followed up on whether she agreed with her husbands assertion, Clinton said, Well I think we are going to stay focused on what voters are focused on.
Clinton also claimed that her campaign is the one that has been positive and not the other way around. I think we have run a very positive campaign, I regret that especially since the debate senator Obama has chosen to go so negative. And contrary to what he says in his speeches his campaign has certainly done that.

(30,439 posts)Obama's largest delegate lead was about 115 pledged delegates. That was a lead which obviously proved to be insurmountable because of proportional allocation.
Hillary's lead is more than twice that.
Is it sinking in yet?

(2,097 posts)Same as Berie. She was nurturing a super delegate fantasy, same as Bernie. The situations are nearly identical.

Maybe there's hope for Politicususa writers.

(6,604 posts)Sadly, a lot of Clinton supporters have defective memories when it comes to what she's said (sometimes as recently as a week ago).
And some even have difficulty with their own words--like that what's-his-name.

(8,791 posts)You are probably correct that it came from her staff originally and not direct from Hillary Clinton's lips.
Clinton let the insinuation hang out there and gain wings (as was in her benefit).

She has the deck stacked so far in her favor this time, and she still flounders.
