Serious Question: What does Bernie Want, and Why Doesn't Hillary Give it to Him?

Of course he wants to be President, but let's assume for purposes of this discussion that he realizes that isn't likely to happen.

Last night, Bernie talked about the DNC not letting his supporters "in." What exactly does he mean by this, and what is his endgame? Does he want to influence the platform? Does he want a more fundamental change to the DNC rules? Does he want to replace DWS?

More importantly, why doesn't Hillary cut a deal with him? She obviously can't afford anything sort of a full-throated endorsement from Bernie. Is Bernie asking for something that she thinks is untenable? I can't imagine that what goes into the party platform is that important to her, I don't think anyone outside of a handful of people really cares what's in the platform. I just can't see why she doesn't sit down with him and at least get to the point where things like NV don't happen again.

I think Bernie wants to go to the convention and be put into nomination with a flowery speech and several seconding speeches. He then wants his followers to have a massive floor demonstration. After the nominations are done, he wants a floor vote with the delegations being polled. After Hillary wins on the first ballot, he will graciously concede and move that the decision be made unanimous (which is the way conventions used to be run).

Hillary doesn't want this. She wants a stage managed coronation with Bernie conceding before the convention and no Bernie supporters raining on her parade.

Of course, part of him would probably want her to admit the system is rigged but she won't admit that.

I think they will iron out their worst differences and come together on several major areas that are meaningful to each candidates followers. That's what I HOPE they will do...

for Berni or his supporters to demand taking on their platform.
Hillary is winning, if anyone should be taking on pieces of platforms, it should be them.

They want to be begged for their vote
and if their behavior is any indication they want Dems on their knees groveling for it.

Narcissism at it's finest!

Let them cry. Let them threaten. It will just bring about the inevitable collapse much sooner and they will have Berned all their bridges ensuring their voices are ignored in the future.

If there is anger from his supporters it is rightfully so by being shut out from having a chance.

All of my life the head of DNC never picked a candidate in this way until primaries over unless only one was left.

And the news is making the whole election a mockery.
