Whatever happened, it wasn't good. And it was Dennis's district that was done away with. So technically I am right.

But it's what happens when one party controls the state government, they get to make the decisions on what district stays and what district goes.

If anything, it was a pro-incumbent vote. The ninth has been Kaptur's district for almost 30 years. Even after redistricting, most of the district covered the area she has been representing.

The other? He ran up against a less divisive opponent who is probably a bit more liked in that area than Kucinich. It's unfortunate Democrats were the ones to bite the bullet when it came to losing a seat, but it is what it is.
