2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumElection results look less and less real to me, and more like a fictional video game.
Obviously there's some basis in reality to these numbers coming in, but I can't help but think there's a lot of fudging going on in real time. As I've said before, I've lost faith in the official election results being accurate enough to be consistent with the real winner.
We need more transparency in order to believe these numbers. Or at least I do. I want to know who counts the votes, how they are counted, and whether there is any oversight, or checking, before the numbers are reported. In real time.

And then y'all gotta race down to the beach with your buckets and your shovels. And the object of the game... is to find parking.

(474 posts)about the privatized electronic voting machines, that alone discounts the results. now add to that the DNC & corporate media bias and the incredible number of "coincidences" you have to accept to believe this is on the up and up. it's pretty discouraging.

(3,160 posts)There is an algorithm that weights votes in a feedback loop that looks at the total vote differential. I think all these reported results are horseshit.

(9,841 posts)... the way Bush's and Gore's numbers converged toward each other, made me wonder if party hacks in both parties were one-upping each other with fraudulent number reporting, resulting in the now infamous "tie".
