GALLUP Announcement
Gallup is now tentatively planning on conducting interviewing over the last four days of this week, Thursday through Sunday, to provide a final pre-election estimate of the election race. The decisions we make on the validity of the sample and the analysis of the data that results will be carefully informed by the degree of recovery from the storm over the period of the survey.

They will release one poll right before the election that is in line with other polling (for a change) and forget the last two months ever happened.

Obama will have a 50 percent approl rating or slighty better
A tie among Likely voters or a 1 point Romney lead
An Obama lead In registered voters.
Gallup Is going to try to cover their asses. If Romney wins they will say their were right In Likely voters. If Obama wins they will say
registered voters were right and they had a dead heat In Likely voters.

(4,667 posts)8. Sorry to be cynical. But I think this is how Gallup SAVES FACE!
You watch, after weeks of promoting their awful tracking polls, on election eve they will have Obama 50%/Romney 48%.
And then years from now, everyone will talk about how accurate they were because they got the final number right.
Amazing.
Do they seriously expect us to believe that a major organization like Gallup, can't possibly do a tracking poll until Tuesday?
They wanted a way out. And they found one.
