(154,021 posts)Social Media has proven Ralston wrong, which did not happen. We are seeing a battle of narratives and they are starting to lose.

You can only control the narrative for so long. Once the truth tellers are exposed you cannot get it back. We are at that point. Why it matters little who "wins" the White House, they will try to close down the internet.

(885 posts)Just look at the brock online response force as an example. They're trying to buy the narrative.
They can't stop the message, instead the objective is to control it (just like every other media). The problem is the internet is way more fluid than any media they have ever tried to control. Even if the power structure took over every single major online media site we would just create new ones. The only way to semi control the message on the internet is through mass censure-ship (like China). And with the freedom of speech the internet offers, I doubt they will ever get that genie back in the bottle at this point.

Convention ended w/security shutting it down, Bernie folks rushed stage, yelling obscenities, throwing chairs. Unity Now! On to Philly 2/2
@atdleft @RalstonReports bottles were also thrown at the stage. Had to escort women out fearing 4 their life. This has no place in politics.

Bernie supporters started throwing chairs in Nevada because they weren't allowed to cheat.

He lied, just as so many in the media have this cycle. It's the Jonathan Capehart School of Honesty.

(2,280 posts)Ralston said he wasn't there at the end when the chairs were thrown but there were multiple eyewitnesses. Earlier on the show Roberta Lange confirmed that chairs were thrown.
I have no idea why the OP would decide to only give half of what Ralston said. What do you think? Do you think the part about multiple witnesses was an important omission?

(7,300 posts)How else could you contort yourself so well? Put the phone down to pick up the chair? No Clinton supporters had cameras going? You dismiss Brock theories while promoting a debunked, walked back conspiracy theory of heavy chairs now? lol They had to be heavy if they needed two hands. Or was a slight, thin, slightly sickly person who needed two hands to throw all these heavy chairs?

I suspect it has little to do with this election and more about scrambling to kill the movement in the crib and maintain long term control for the Oligarchs in the party by poisoning the well at any and all cost.

(1,237 posts)By one of the campaigns, yeah that's going to be a hard one to get over. Kinda a big deal when the only source for the DNC's allegations of violence starts to walk back his story. It appears that they made up a story so the media could do a hatchet job on Bernie and now that the damage is done they're walking it back.
